Julia Tomasone was born on August 3, 1998, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. She is one of her parents' three children. She has two younger sisters.

She is of Canadian nationality and belongs to the White ethnicity. She had a knack for singing since her childhood. Her favorite singers include Adele, Shania Twain, and Celine Dion.
